Big Snow!!!

Last night thru this morning we had alot of snow fall, about 8 inches in 12 hours!! It was a nice day outside, warmer than it has been so I decided to take Mikayla out to play in all the fluffy white stuff. She had alot of fun walking in the driveway where it was smoother to walk. She thought it was the funniest thing watching Grandma throw snowballs to Diezel while he caught them.

She sunk in up to her knees.

Santa try #2

Today was a very long day...

It started with a playdate in the morning with a friend, then we went to get pictures done for a keepsake ornament that we are making a holiday tradition, or at least try. The only place that does them, that I have found, is Kiddie Kandids. We didn't have her other pictures done there this year because I found a new place that I really like, but they don't do the ornament so off we went. It was a 30 minute drive from where we were and thankfully Mikayla took a little nap. We met my mom at the mall and went and grabbed lunch before taking pictures. She did wonderful, why can't she be like this for my photography sessions, ugh! Anyways, after that we went and stood in line for Santa for about an hour. Once we see Santa, Mikayla starts screaming. Great! So I sat with her hoping that that would help, not really but at least we got a pic of her not crying. Better luck next year!

We used a close up of this photo on the ornament

These are what the keepsake ornaments look like, we got the white one.

These are the rest of the poses that were done (I don't know how I chose just one pic)

Reindeer games

Mikayla was in quite a playful mood today so I took the liberty of video taping her silliness!
(remember to pause the music at the side of the page)

ENJOY!!

She sings the ABC's or at least the first three letters of the alphabet. Listen carefully she will sing "Ah, B, see" while doing a little dance.

Mikayla loves Patty Cake but usually I'm the one doing the motions, today it was her turn!

She loves playing peek a boo and we always say "I see you" when she is "found" so now she will say "I shee you" Its so cute, although pretty much everything she does is cute. I know, I'm biased.

And this is from the other day but I HAD to throw it in. My little dancing queen!

Holiday Parade and Family Time (Picture overload)

Today my mom, John, Miki and I went to the town's holiday parade. It was a chilly 16 degrees, probably cooler with the wind chill, but it wasn't very windy at all so it made the cold bearable. Miki was getting ansy sitting in her stroller so we ended up holding her for most of the parade. She seemed to enjoy it so I guess it made the effort worth it. Then we went and petted animals at the petting zoo which she of course loved. Then we went and stood in line for Santa, its a good thing we were at the front of the line because when she sat next to Santa she screamed her little head off. She is usually really good about that stuff but I think being cold and tired made it all too much. We will try the mall Santa at a later date and hopefully it will work out better. While we were in line waiting for Santa we saw the petting zoo operator carring a dead sheep off to the trailer. It was dripping bodily fluids and his head was flopping around. It made me really mad. I feel sorry for animals like that, I mean they never look they are in the greatest shape and kids are beating on there bodies all day. I just can't help feeling the way I do but it just made me sick to my stomach, and we all know I can handle that kind of stuff but its more the treatment that makes me ill. Sorry for the rant, here are some pictures from the day...

Mr. Grinch, Mikayla was keeping her eye on him!

Poor Santa, poor Miki

After we got back Christina, Nick and the kids came by for mom's spagetti. We hadn't seen them in over a month and I sure did miss them. Miki and Brady were very cute together and fun to watch. Miki was sharing her juice with Brady and he was trying to kiss Miki. Kara is growing up so fast too and she plays so nice even with her cousin trying to take everything from her.

Smooch's!!

Princess Kara

Saturday we put up the tree and xmas decorations, always a chore so we had a bit of fun:

Mikayla's Mission-

-to stack her nesting cups! She can do it, for the most part. She stacks but usually will knock it down in the process of standing up to get taller or when she's not paying close enough attention. Imagine that, she gets distracted, lol! She will say uh-oh, when it falls and it has to be the cutest thing she says.

Being Silly

Snow day-Mikayla's first time of the year!

Well it took about 15 minutes to put on the snow pants, boots, coat, hat and gloves to go out and play in the snow for 10 minutes. She did object to the boots, I think they hurt her feet (she does have double wide feet) but once we were outside she forgot about that and kept trying to bend and pick up snow but every time she did she would fall face first into the snow. It was kind of amusing (I know I'm a mean mom, lol). I did get video of it posted below. I must say she did look cute, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Let me ask, does this remind you of Randy (Ralphie's brother) from a Christmas Story? LOL
